The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 口水歌真不好听，故事线和情感线毫无波澜，技法一般，言之无物，题材吃香是唯一的亮点吧。加菲猫煽情起来，他不尴尬，别人很尴尬。
为何总在梦想终点止步？为何总会留下遗憾？那便是生命的倒数时刻在无声呐喊。
好久没看这么纯粹的歌舞片了。哭了。。加菲太有才华了，LMM也完全不像一个新手电影导演

稍微有点触动的是中间分手一段，争吵及关系的崩塌和后来以此改编成的演出唱段交叉呈现，情境基调的反差高效带出主题性。至于其他和整体……听听歌就好了。

加菲真的有才，从战争片硬汉到穿梭市井的超英，再到为梦想的癫狂音乐剧作者都能驾驭。重重叠叠的阿卡贝拉加适时切入的其他乐器真的很爽。“剧作家就是要一部接着一部写作品，希望能有所回应。继续创作吧，孩子，写你熟悉的东西。”

诺大可发挥空间最后却靠LGBT故事来燃情。
爵士春秋的自述融合爱乐之城的切出切入，音乐剧歌曲还是蛮好听，歌词内容比较脱口秀。
