The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 善与恶，爱与死，在2天的故事线里被完美展现。贪婪的本性制造出故事线，父子间束缚的父爱与对自由的渴望冲突，创造了关键节点。通过对话和事件导演干净利落的刻画了老亨利的不为人知的另一面。
沾了比利小子的传奇光芒，但影片的观赏性并不强，尚且不如《大地惊雷》

情节够紧凑，不拖沓，有反转，又有不少西部片的影子。
西部扫地僧 背负着过去的包袱，避世隐居，多年的包袱，虽然依然谨慎，却还是向往善良，还是一部有点感人的，演员也没找偶像型的，就是一个历尽风尘形象
感觉就像《卡拉是条狗》里吃着黄瓜的葛优突然成了扫地僧。
一段命中注定的相遇，再最后一次闪光过后，结束了老牛仔罪恶的一生，年轻的牛二代踏上通往现代的征程。
老派西部片，简单的故事但很工整，枪战也很真实
西部片，一个深藏功与名隐身西部农场前江湖杀手的故事。剧情不紧凑，前面有些散漫，许多对话亦不精彩。后面枪战戏不错，比较干脆利落。故事中儿子的设置没必要，反而拖累剧情。
猜中结局，扣一星。节奏还好，导演可以。价值观还能接受，看在科恩班底的份上，表演给四星。
很好的故事设计，既延续了传奇（或重新演绎了传奇），又隐喻了现实，一举两得。决战场面的设计很精彩，结尾的反转也恰到好处。近年来难得好看的西部片。
