The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 目标受众：1970年在得克萨斯州长大的白人。 画风有点像印刷版画，相对独特。童年回忆部分有些冗长，像是导演童年记忆简单的堆积。个人共鸣不多，画风也不是特别能接受，暂不推荐。
林克莱特最后那一组平行剪辑，将登月事件和自己当下的半梦半醒串联起来，恍惚间参与了登月事件。站在当下回望过去，每个人确都有这样的时光。

在今年这样的环境下，有一部这样的电影，真是见识到了战争的残忍，并且是无能为力，只能拿起枪杆子来保卫家园。炸弹不知道会在什么时候什么地点从天而降，前一秒在接吻，后一秒可能就倒在血泊之中，这就是战争。

导演自己对那个年代的个人记忆，也编织了那一代童年里的各种元素，电影，音乐，科技，孩童们不知轻重的玩乐，似乎人命不值钱一般的生活态度，那些复古的影像用动画的形式再现，应该能给不少人带来共鸣吧。

非常传神和有趣，画风和那个年代都是我喜欢的，爱怀旧的朋友不应错过
题材就值五星了（PS: 用了相当篇幅描绘乌克兰对乌东俄罗斯族的迫害，差点以为乌克兰要入侵俄罗斯了）
还以为有过boyhood了林克莱特就没必要拍这种片了。
没想到是动画片，还可以，那个时代的一个缩影
能这样拍自己想拍的童年回忆录真的还挺满足的。 给那个时代做了一点自我刻画，还蛮不错的。挺轻松
