The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it?     超級好看感動，本來簡直想評爆一千分！原本以為是輕鬆普通的番外，結果卻描述出蠢太小時候內心的封閉+因為高人先生世界終於變得有感情和色彩😭 最後高人先生親自弄了指環那裏我也涙目了。好看到爆！完全不明白為什麼分數那麼低！？？？以為起碼有9分以上！很想付錢支持他們製作如此精良的劇場版（但到底香港在哪裏能夠買？）

    #11th BJIFF# 前获2021年威尼斯主竞赛评审团奖。导演之前是拍过《四次》的大神。这次也几乎没有用到对白。摄影讲究（数字感；弱光控制很精细），声音则贯彻了“声景/soundscape”的设计理念。影片有着极其严整的视觉-结构构思，洞口以各种类似的视觉形象出现在影片里（卡车后面，帐篷里，窗口等等），探洞的过程与牧羊老人中风去世的过程形成了蒙太奇关系；而同时又以“村民看电视”提示着柏拉图的洞穴隐喻：究竟探洞是怎样一种“认识自然”？影片也有政治表达（探洞时候焚烧的杂志封面：肯尼迪，尼克松）。（探洞部分其实也可以看做是一种扮演式的纪录片）
