The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 灾难来临前的鸡毛蒜皮是生活的全部，人们活得恍恍惚惚、显得单纯幼稚。一旦灾难过境，人的善良、乐观和坚韧又常常爆发出惊人的能量。纽芬兰的这个小镇恰是如此。
仅仅拍摄完整的舞台演出，难道不是样板戏？除了时代所限，当年的蓝苹同志在这方面也做得不错了。只感觉是话剧，谁说歌舞片？跟比迪斯尼电影比起来，不过一锅清汤。歌舞起着渲染作用，并没有推动情节。故事只是讲911事件时迫降纽芬兰的多个航班，难道也是带着任务拍的？舞台上的演员有感染力，场景转换既快捷又流畅。然而，低调而艺术的表彰大会仍是表彰大会，看久一点就真没意思。[ZXZJ]
足够美式的审美和价值观，不足之处是有些地方实在煽情过度，但不得不承认起码在当下我很喜欢——今日朝鲜新增1.8万发热病例，特此标记——因为无数次深入绝境，才积蓄了更多的爱意和希望

这部舞台剧层次非常丰富，大到人道主义，小到个人友情、爱情；从种族问题讲到女性、LGBT群体的社会接纳；有生离死别，也有相遇重逢。正如剧中所唱，一些东西失去了，另一些被建立起来了。
19年最爱的一部 第一次看到戏剧可以这么没有边界 可以这么复杂却简单 这次线上看没想到泪点竟从抽离瞬间的dover fault——Nick的独白开始。可能是最近分离太多了。剧里面有一句说美好的事物都不能长久。希望前一半是真的 后一半是假的。
