Summary
Bullied by his matriarchal mother, abused by his siblings, ignored by his father, Poil de Carotte's childhood is as miserable as it could be. An illegitimate child, he is the main reason for the enmity which exists between his parents, who continue to live together just to keep up appearances. In the end, Poil de Carotte's suffering becomes more than he can bear...
Review
Drawing heavily on the poignant novel by Jules Renard on which it is based, Poil de carotte is a modest yet appealing film which has stood the test of time mainly because of the quality of its acting performances and its inherent humanity. It is more memorable than Julien Duvivier's earlier silent version of 1925, also named Poil de Carotte.
The part of Poil de Carotte was played by 11 year old Robert Lynen, who was alleged to have been discovered whilst walking down the Champs-Elysées in Paris. Lynen is totally captivating and the film made him an instant star, launching what looked like becoming a very promising film career – until he was shot dead whilst fighting against the Germans in 1944. Harry Baur, a legendary stage and film actor (who also died during World War II, allegedly at the hands of the Gestapo), also turns in a typically fine performance. The reconciliation between father and son at the end of the film provides its most enduring image, enough to melt the heart of all but the most stoical of spectators.

这电影名应该叫《香港人》。背后由梅艳芳张国荣串起是背后香港人的精神。古天乐演得好苦。这些都是他曾经的朋友现在已经走了快20年。有一句台词后半句忘了，如果你记起请告诉我“唱慢歌要唏嘘唱快歌要……”？她的声音和降央卓玛比，女中音的调子，女高音的音色，和成龙，梁朝伟，张学友都合唱过。

过程中真是各种泪目，结束更是一个爆哭。当然，倒也不是影片有多好，只不过由之想起了曾经的梅艳芳，以及那个满是回忆的童年。影片本身真的太普通了，如此的浮皮潦草，毫无重心，好像一个大型人物流水账，你哪怕就拍那场谢幕的演唱会，应该也会更精彩一些吧。现在的感觉基本就是什么都想拍一点，却又什么都不能拍太深。连众多角色的名字也只能用英文名代替。除了去世的张国荣可以用全名，也是太刻意了一些。以及，我也觉得这片稍微有点消费张国荣了，为什么会在梅艳芳的电影里，拿那么多时间讲张国荣的去世和葬礼，也有些太明显了。感人的部分，其实都是属于梅艳芳的部分，终究，是部有些可惜的电影。

一代传奇，被拍得这么凄婉平庸琐碎，粉丝滤镜太重，非常可惜，女演员没有演出传奇女星的那份大姐大气场，以及豁达。为什么这么伤感，片尾的老照片回顾，可以看出梅艳芳的亲和魅力，而不是片中那个从头伤感到尾的人
其实一般话，甚至有点流水账，但是看到最后还是很感动，还是因为梅姐，还有那首《夕阳之歌》

男主的存在不就是一块爱的磁铁吗，吸引爱的前提是你会释放爱，但是剧情里一直单身还挺奇怪的，sweet到不真实，太令人怜惜了。
不知是否导演访问梅姐亲友搜集资料过多，整个人战战兢兢不敢取舍的样子，大牌演员也要给足露脸机会。随机穿插真人影像更是严重决策错误，在演员功力不够的情况下只会让人不停出戏好吗？不如直接剪纪录片。还好不花钱（
导演似乎很自知如何利用自己的舒适圈创作一个平庸但用小聪明讨喜的白男形象。当特权被大肆张扬时，表达仿佛就被蒙上了一层毛边玻璃，成为了少数人的狂欢。Jun 15, tiff

成长就是渐渐受束缚直到再也没第二条路，不能仅仅因为爱一个人就去爱。
尽管整个剧组已经用最大的诚意来致敬原型了，但打动观众的仍然是那些高糊画质的影像资料。
无论是梅艳芳还是张国荣粉丝都不愿意买账的电影
最拖后腿的就是剧本了，三星全给梅艳芳本人。

不要听主创喊了哪些口号，而是要看他们如何创作，现在就是成品非常差，全流水账式拍法，梅艳芳一代天后，她在音乐和电影上的成就、她作为时代icon的风潮和意义、她对演艺界的贡献等等通通浮皮潦草一带而过，重点居然放在谈恋爱上，为了一首夕阳之歌的版权而昧着良心美化近藤真彦，又莫名其妙地花大篇幅拍她同林国斌在泰国，好似三流地摊小说；对梅姐一生挫折苦难的无限淡化是削弱她的形象力度，不晓得的人还以为她是什么顺风顺水的娇小姐。古天乐投资了就要演男主，他演刘培基简直离大谱，廖子妤很好，王丹妮作为新人不可谓不努力，然而我也受够了她一直扁嘴或嘟嘴。妆发也差，所有演员三十年前同三十年后除了发型不同还有哪里不同吗？杨千嬅还染着她标志性的紫头发呢。大部分棚景，又经常拿资料原画充数，安乐也不见得投资多少，惨就不要卖了吧。1.5
