The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 摄影不错，几处取景相当诗意。表演不行，都太一板一眼。导演过于沉醉对舞蹈的设计，却失掉故事节奏。挺简单的人和事，讲啰嗦了。6
乍一看有点伪《芳华》的味道，虽然BUG不少，但国产片能拍成这样，值得鼓励了。
本来是因为西野小姐姐去看的这个电影，结果发现了一个好消息和一个坏消息：好消息是，这的确是一部出色的电影，我随后找了第一部——完整地看了两部曲。算是黑帮电影里的佼佼者了（虽然日本黑帮给人感觉比起意大利或者哥伦比亚的黑社会档次要低了）；坏消息是，西野七濑是全剧中演技最差、最不在线的一个（或者这也是正常的一件事情）。
日冈比大上还是差远了，不过松坂这小平头挺精神的。铃木小变态死了，第三部不知道该咋拍了
比起大上走钢丝的游刃有余，继承者明显有点力不从心，黑白夹缝中生存
日冈雨中被揍那段好看死了（加一颗星），和上林的两次打戏都好那个，感觉上林会把日冈抓回去抹布（
果然年轻学人玩制衡，都是一厢情愿的。还没练就老奸巨猾 又舍弃了年轻热血，不尴不尬的年纪，不温不火的时代。需要一些出格的刺激和别有用心的安排才能引人耳目。至此，系列已从昭和转至平成，再往下拍不下去了。因为令和的精致和内敛已容不下来自遥远昭和年代的粗犷和跋扈了。
和上一部差不多，就暴力，过过眼瘾，即使在战国时代，这种用蛮力的也是炮灰
整体不如1，“想看疯狗还得真利子哲也”，一万个同意。

除了西野七濑演技有点遭其它都很不错，这东京拍的比哥谭还黑暗
男主角剪了短发对比第一部的青涩感确实出彩很多，但还是被铃木亮平的气场压制，这个变态反派绝了。
一代目还算有点本事，依靠手段在几股势力之间斡旋，这部简直要什么没什么，男主靠求人和挨打维系着黑帮之间的平衡，你敢信？还有一堆烂梗，前面怎么打怎么不中，最后时刻百发百中，以及关键时刻永远没子弹的手枪。只有警局的条子们一如既往的愚蠢和腐败。
为什么要用人石黑一雄小说的名字啊，明明一点关系都没有…
我呸！！！！
没有役所广司的孤狼，总是少了一点独气。2个多小时的片长还算紧凑，但是中段还是拖沓冗长的，花了不少时间去塑造黑帮的形象，有一些抢戏了。打打杀杀的场面没有太多可圈可点的画面，最后松坂桃李逃走和夺枪多多少少有些草率。
这就导致好好一个犯罪题材，非要在文艺感上做文章，最终的结果就是四不像，并且稍微看过点同类题材的朋友在我还刻意看了一下进度条的第20分钟，我相信大家已经对凶手也好，结果也好，都猜的八九不离十了，这一点来说，你其他边边角角部分做的再好，也失去了它本该有的光彩，特别是明明50-60分钟就可以讲完的故事硬生生拖到120分钟，太磨叽了！！
说实话，上一部已经模糊了，重看了预告片，一组鲜明风格的群像，气势非常足，尤其是一号，邪不压正的一身邪气。这一部，松阪似乎是要复刻前辈，但真得单薄，不是形体，是气质。整体也偏简单化，人物关系单薄，一味的以暴力为核心，和上一部相比，应当有很多遗憾。不过反派也很好的展示了霓虹文化中恶的那一面，不可理喻的恶。
